Club News

The Grand Prix Karting Club welcomes membership applications from anyone aged 16 years and over. Membership is free but the Committee require proof of ID, including proof of address, before an application may be considered. There is a Junior Section for 12 to 15 year olds where membership additionally requires the consent, and appropriate ID, of a parent or legal guardian.

Motorsport can be dangerous and members are expected to abide by the published rules of the Club, breaches of which may result in membership being withdrawn without notice.

Pit and Paddock Update

Hard at racing on track

The Members Clubhouse has been completely refurbished and now includes a separate registration desk and viewing area for the GP & Junior Circuits, as well as a designated wet weather briefing room serving the entire Centre. The new facilities have been well received and members have particularly welcomed the addition of drink and confectionery vending machines which have reduced the pressure on Tricia in the Pit Stop Diner. Members booking events on the National and Club Circuits will be delighted to learn that the Secretary has negotiated the continued use of the Corporate Hospitality Suite and Driver’s Paddock for the duration of their event.

Work has been undertaken on the National, GP and Junior Circuits to ensure that they remain well ahead of all safety guidelines issued by the National Karting Association. The 'daylight' floodlighting on the Main Circuit has also been further upgraded and it remains the most sophisticated floodlighting of any motorsport venue in the UK.
